Board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and licensed to practice medicine in California, Kentucky, and Ohio, Dr. Rapp is a graduate of Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine.
Following his residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center—where he won five research and academic achievement awards—he received a fellowship at Stanford Medical Center.
An active participant in science research at Stanford Hospital Medical Center and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Center, he is the coauthor of eight peer-reviewed papers, and is in demand as a presenter at medical conferences across the US and internationally.
Dr. Rapp also performs volunteer mission work at the William Solar Children’s Hospital in Havana, Cuba, and is a former professional soccer player.

About the COLLECTION OF FILLERS
The collection of fillers are injectable gels made from modified hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is a naturally occurring sugar found in the human body. How does it work?

Will I look overdone?

Does the treatment hurt?

How long does treatment take?
The treatment takes approximately 10 minutes and requires minimal downtime or recovery—it’s often called a lunchtime procedure.
What were common side effects seen in clinical studies?
Three percent of patients experienced eyelid drooping in the frown lines studies and 1% of patients experienced eyelid swelling in the crow’s feet studies. Other possible side effects include: discomfort or pain at the injection site; headache; and eye problems: double vision, blurred vision, drooping eyelids, and swelling of your eyelids. VASCULAR TREATMENTS
Q: WHAT IS EXCEL HR?
A: excel HR is the most advanced aesthetic technology that combines two powerfully precise lasers to target and eliminate vascular concerns (redness, unsightly veins) and benign pigmented lesions (age spots, sun spots, discoloration) on the face and body.
Q: WHAT DOES EXCEL HR TREAT?
A: excel HR treats many skin concerns. The most common excel treatments include rosacea, telangiectasia, facial and leg veins, age/brown spots and acne scars.
Q: HOW DOES EXCEL WORK?
A: Your treatment provider will select one of excel’s two lasers and customize the treatment settings to target the color and depth of your skin concern. Most treatments are finished in just a few minutes.
SUN SPOTS
Solar Lentigenes or ‘sun spots’ result from excessive exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Common to people frequently outdoors or over the age of 40, sun spots result from a proliferation of melanocytes and subsequent melanin production near the surface of the skin. While most are benign or do not lead to cancer, it is important that a medical professional examines the lesions prior to treatment to ensure safety of intervention. The Excel laser offers the advantage of improving skin tone and surface imperfections associated with aging and photodamage.
Q: HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE REQUIRED?
A: Most treatments require only 1 to 2 treatment sessions. The number of treatments will vary based on your condition.
Q: IS THE TREATMENT PAINFUL?
A: excel treatments can feel similar to a rubber band snapping against skin. Depending on the procedure, a cooled treatment tip will be in contact with the skin to protect and provide comfort to the area. A topical anesthetic may be available from your provider to improve your treatment experience.
Q: ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS? AND DOWNTIME?
A: Redness and/or swelling can be expected following treatment and will resolve within a few days. Treated brown spots will darken and slough off within 3 to 6 days. For full face treatments, swelling will peak 24 to 48 hours post treatment and usually resolves within a few days. Typically, you can wear make-up and return to normal activities immediately. Your provider may recommend a topical steroid to reduce swelling as needed.
ACNE TREATMENT
Excel HR utilizes two different wavelengths to help stimulate collagen formation. This may be beneficial to pitting from Acne scarring or other contour defects from trauma or other soft tissue injury.
